Before you start
- Install and set up the Shield Wallet extension, then connect it to Shield Swap before you bridge funds.
- Connect the external wallet that holds or receives the asset.
- Select the required networks in both wallets.
- Check the available balance and the bridge minimum.
Choose a bridge
Shield Swap uses Circle xReserve only for USDCx. It uses Hyperlane for ETH, wBTC, and USDT. SOL bridging through Fund Wallet is coming soon.
Hyperlane can provide more asset and network routes. Check Hyperlane Nexus or the Aleo funding guide for current options.
A Hyperlane transfer from Aleo requires a public ALEO balance for its delivery payment.
Use the in-app terminal
Testnet supports only USDC and USDCx through Circle xReserve. Mainnet also supports available Hyperlane routes.Move assets into Shield Wallet
- Open Fund Wallet.
- Select the direction into Shield Swap.
- Select an available asset and enter an amount.
- Connect the required external wallet.
- Review the route, fee, transaction count, and destination.
- Confirm each required wallet action.
- Keep the page open until the progress view confirms delivery.
Move assets out of Shield Wallet
- Open Fund Wallet and reverse the direction.
- Select an available asset and enter an amount.
- Connect the external destination wallet.
- Review the destination address, route, fee, and expected amount.
- Confirm the Shield Wallet action.
- Follow the progress view until the destination transfer completes.
Track a transfer
The activity panel shows recent in-app transfers for the connected wallets. A transfer can continue after navigation or a browser restart. Do not start a second transfer because one status update is slow. Check the source transaction, destination transaction, and activity state first.Route availability differs by network. Use Funding routes to see other current options.
