Position actions

Create a position

  1. Select a pool.
  2. Select New position.
  3. Keep Full range, or select Custom to use a range preset or enter minimum and maximum prices.
  4. Enter the required token amounts.
  5. Open Advanced addresses to check the recipient and withdrawal addresses. Review these addresses, the range, and the amounts before confirmation.
  6. Confirm the Shield Wallet request.
An out-of-range position uses only one asset. The app still asks for both desired amounts and makes the unused side claimable. An in-range position usually uses both assets. Integer math or the selected ratio can also make part of a desired amount claimable.

Owner and withdrawal address

Open Advanced addresses in New position to find Recipient address and Withdrawal address. Both fields initially contain the connected wallet address. Recipient address sets the position owner. The position owner controls the PositionNFT and can change the position. The immutable withdrawal address receives collected principal, fees, and position refunds. These addresses can differ. Check both addresses before you create the position because an existing position cannot change its withdrawal address.

Increase a position

Use Increase when the range stays the same. The app calculates the required ratio from the position range and current pool price. An increase settles pending fees before it adds liquidity. Any desired amount that the position does not use becomes claimable.

Decrease or close a position

Use Decrease to remove part of the liquidity. The review includes the selected principal and any amount that is already claimable. Select 100 percent to collect claimable funds and close the position. If collection does not finish, the value remains under Recoverable Funds. Continue with Rebalance a position or Recover funds.
